Doodh Ka Sharbat from Maimoona Yasmeen’s Recipes

Ingredients:

Doodh(milk): 1 litre
Shakar (sugar): 200 grams
Elaichi (cardamom) powder: ½ teaspoon
Oodh (agarwood): 2 small pieces
Kate hue aur tale hue badam, kaju aur chironji: ½ cup

Procedure:

1. Doodh ko ubaal aane tak pakaiyye aur rakh lijiye.

2. Doosre pan mein dedh ya 1 1/2 tea cup paani (water) daliye.

3. Is paani mein, shakar (sugar) daliye.

4. Paanch minute(5 min) tak pakaiyye ke shakar paani mein achhi tarah se ghul jaaye.

5. Shakar ke paani ko doodh mein chhaan kar daliye.

6. Ab is doodh mein elaichi powder daliye.

7. Achhi tarah se milakar, thanda hone ke liye rakh dijiye.

8. Mitti ka ghada (mud pot) jo lid ke saath ho, achhi tarah se dhokar rakh lijiye.

9. Aluminium ki plate/thaali ko stove par rakhiye.

10. Is thaali par oodh ke pieces daliye.

11. Jab dhuan (smoke) nikalne lage, mitti ke ghade ko is par ulta kar rakh dijiye aur anch band kar dijiye.

12. Ghade mein jab dhuan jama ho jaaye, ise palta kar jaldi se is par dhakkan ya lid rakh dijiye.

13. Thanda kiya hua doodh, ghade mein daliye aur dhakkan rakh dijiye.

14. Ghade mein bareek kate hue aur tale hue badam, kaju aur chironji daliye.

15. Das ya pandrah minute (10-15 min) tak ise dhak kar rakhiye ke oodh ke dhuen ki boo is sharbat mein shamil ho jaaye.

Doodh ka Sharbat tayyar hai.
